- A
This will go over the process needed in order to maintain the functionality and smoothness of the BuyOrder document. We need to do this so the main document does not become sluggish and slow. It also allows us to track when things were put into the document.
This is done every time the BuyOrder document tabs TB1, TB2, and TB3 reaches 2k-3k lines. Metric Hits are done whenever those tabs are.
Things you’ll need:
Steps:
Have both of the required documents open.
Create a new tab on the BuyOrder Record Document and rename it to today’s date in the format mm-dd-yy.
Go to the ‘TB1 Entry' Tab on the BuyOrder Insert Document.
Make note of the color of the cells in row 1.
Yellow - Editable/Copiable/Removable.
Red - Don’t Touch. They have formulas.
Right click the tab and unlock the sheet.
Current password is ‘Ticketboat123$123’
The sheet is locked to prevent accidental changes in the formulas.
Highlight the information starting at Q1 to the last filled green cell of the W column.
If you are repeating for TB2 and TB3, skip the title cells and start at Q2.
Copy the information highlighted.
Go to the new tab created on the BuyOrder Records document.
Right click in cell A1 then click the ‘Paste Values' Button.
This makes sure any formula copied doesn’t transfer and only the calculation of said formula.
Go back to the BuyOrder Insert Document.
Highlight the information under the yellow cells in row 1 that is highlighted green.
This would be starting in row 2 columns A-N and P-U and W to the last of the fill information that is green.
Make sure to not highlight lines that haven’t been ran.
Make sure nothing under the red highlight cell is highlighted.
Delete highlighted information by using the ‘Clear Contents’ function.
The calculations under the red highlighted cells should disappear naturally as it has nothing to calculate now. The formula should still be there.
While things are highlight, click on ‘Cell Styles’ then ‘Normal’.
This will unhighlight and reformate the entry lines.
If there are lines that haven’t been ran below the recently edited information, move them to the top of the sheet starting on row 2. Then delete the old lines.
This can be done by copying the information under the yellow cells then pasting values.
Information under the red cells should not be copied and pasted.
Once information is pasted the red cells will fill out itself again.
Follow steps 4-14 for the rest of the tabs.
This includes TB2 Entry and TB3 Entry and Metric Hits.
TB2 and TB3 information gets put right under the TB1 information.
Metric Hits is put in a separate table on the same record tab. Use past record tabs as examples.
Make note in TB3 Entry the 'O' column is not locked like the other tabs. This is due to the small need for single ticket seasons to manually need to put in the end seat.
Here are the formulas we currently use in the sheet:
Insert - Is what puts all the information together in an easy copy 'n paste for script running.
End Seat - Is what auto calculates the end seat based of quantity and start seat.
