How-To: Create a FedEx Airbill

Whether you have the need to ship physical tickets to a customer or you need to ship an item to a remote employee, shipping is a commonplace occurrence in the Ticket Boat office.

Step-by-step guide

Below is the guide to create a FedEx airbill for shipping

  1. Open a browser and navigate to https://www.fedex.com/en-us/home.html and click "Sign In" in the top right corner of the screen.
    1. You will find the Ticket Boat login information inside of any LastPass account, under "Shared-TicketBoat Logins"
  2. Once signed in, click on the the Shipping button on the navigation bar and click Create a Shipment.
  3. Next you will notice that you are in the FedEx Ship Manager.
    1. Box 1. From This box should already be filled out  from being logged into the account.
      1. If you are not logged in, the From should be "Mark Shaver, 5400 W 61st Place, Mission, Kansas, 66205, United States."
    2. Box 2. To With this box you will just fill out the information for the person you are wishing to ship to.
    3. Box 3. Package & Shipment Detail In this box you will need to fill out the date you want to ship, how many packages you are shipping, the rate, the weight of your item(s), and packaging type. Do NOT click on a service type just yet.
      1. On the right hand side you will see a panel that's labeled Rates & Transit Times (optional). Underneath that you will see a button that says calculate. Click this button to show all all the pricing options calculated off the information you put in.
      3. Once it is calculated, it will display a list of shipping options. At this point you can select the Service Type, and choose an appropriate method based on cost.
  4. Next, on Box 5, click on Ship. This will pay for the airbill and bring you to the screen to print your paid airbill.
  5. After you print off your label, put it on your prepared box, completely covering it in packing tape to weatherproof, then drop it off at your nearest FedEx location.
