Resetting User MFA
Created By Glenn Robuck.
You will need to reset the Multifactor of the user. They will need to delete any existing tokens for Ticket Boat in their Microsoft Authenticator app. Have them delete their current tokens prior to resetting their MFA.
You will use EntraAD to reset. You can get to this directly by going to Entra AD (jump to Step 6, used to be different)
Per-user multifactor authentication - Microsoft Entra admin center
Step 6 – Go to: Per-user multifactor authentication - Microsoft Entra admin center
Step 7 - Place a check in the box to the left of the user
Step 8 - Click User MFA settings
Step 9 - In the User MFA settings flyout section, place a check box in the first two boxes
Step 10 - Click ”Save”
Step 11 - There will be a little indicator window flyout near the top right corner that says it is updating MFA settings, and then that they have been updated. It is complete when you see the green check icon
Step 12 - The user should now delete any current Ticket Boat entries in their Microsoft Authenticator.
After deleting any Ticket Boat entries in the MS authenticator, the user should now go to outlook.office.com to login. It should prompt them to then add MFA back to their account.
