[Daily Check] Internet
This page will go over how to check what internet we are currently on and for any that are down.
The troubleshooting steps for issues will be at the end for issues spotted.
How-to Check
We should be on Google Fiber (IP: 136.41.2.227) as a whole. Some items are on Spectrum specifically, like phones.
Open a browser while on our network in office.
Google ‘what is my ip'
Something similar will work as well.
It should bring up a page like this, displaying the current IP you are on.
This is to check the general building is on Google Fiber. (IP: 136.41.2.227)
Open up SonicWall.
Login with the credentials provided in IT LastPass
Navigate to Manage > Network > Failover & Load Balancing
Make sure all sections show ‘Link up’ ' Available' ‘Target Alive’
If one shows different, proceed to report it to the appropriate place and continue to troubleshooting.
